a narrow dirt road leads of the highway. some bumpy areas in the road. not suitable for a caravan, as it may bottom out. the trip is slow there are the cones someone stack up these pancakes very carefully. we arrive before 8 am and it is already very hot! we start walking in and amongst it. washed out formations steep canyons very colourful rocks and a cavern like a cathedral. I wonder what its name is? makes people look small Looking out of Cathedral gorge reflection colours and shapes the river bed a Pyramid, where is the mummy amazing even a few flours amongst the dry landscape look at these colours all natural colours  like giant waves the water supply soon runs low and we need to get back to the highway before it gets dark

Kununurra Hidden Valley caravan park Under the Mango trees The Ivanhoe River crossing depth of water is shown on the pillars quite a waterfall the wheels are definitely wet. and a second smaller crossing the old road up to Wyndham  The landscape is quite barren in places Remains of the old  Telegraph station. from the 5 rivers lookout in Wyndham the port of Wyndham Zebra rock multicoloured layered rock colourful natural patterns in the rock this is natural rock !!! the start of Gibb River road famous for wrecking trailers and caravans. easy to travel at this stage the crossing into El Questro station this is the road in an oasis Nice restaurant provides us with the morning coffee shot beautiful spot,but rather expensive. nothing here is free. back on the road again a massive Boab tree

WA - Lake Argyle 22-23/9/2010

The Western Australian border no fruit or vegetables allowed to come across. we did quite well 3 pieces of an apple we had left. Lake Argyle our next destination. The kayak comes off the roof and we get some good excercise. The french tourists we met the day before arrive and also enjoy a paddle on the lake The Ord river below the dam. The intake more of the Ord river the big part of the lake is out of sight through that gap. the camp in the shade look at that pool location!
