The long way round ! 2010-11

The pearl farm at Willy Creek there's pearls out there Sand road a caravan that did not make it! lift em foot up then put em foot down new road sign! tranquil beach strong tide run a good spot to have lunch and a swim. Cape Leveque  our cliff top camp just another Kimberly sunset early morning walk on the beach the island of the cape the road to middle lagoon the back road into Beagle bay back to base at low tide a storm scross the bay. contrasting colours we did not get any of the rain.

Roebuck bay caravan park becomes our base to explore the area. Gantheaume point deep colours in the cliff the contrast between the layers Sea Eagle  great expanse of Cable Beach Colourful Kite that one was hard to spot. back to the Caravan Park  Kimberly Colours The meeting point another hard day at the office. Sunset over the bay. The flowers look like birds the green bird tree a long shot to Cable beach the smiling camel the camel train getting ready for the tourists off they go on a slow trip on the beach. we give that a miss. the caravan park at high tide. and the beach at low tide, 10m difference. just another sunset

this could be a long day, we get away early. to the right the southern Kimberley to the left the Great Sandy desert. not too much grows here. we do not stop in Halls Creek Lunch at Mary Pool a large free camp area new toilets and dump point! we move on, we have had enough of the inland for a while we want to see ocean and feel the sea breeze Ngumban Cliff Lookout we stop for a quick bite and a drink. colours of the desert that must be a desert rose!!!!  the long road to the coast it is getting late in the afternoon we arrive as the sun goes down just in time 546km in the one day.  There now we can have a drink!
